Coward Springs
Coward Springs campground is located on the Oodnadatta Track, seventy six kilometres south of William Creek. Natural revitalizing spa amongst wetland rushes, the water flows continuously under natural pressure straight from the Great Artesian Basin, through the spa, then into the wetland. Over 200 hectares were fenced to exclude stock in 1993. The wetland was conserved under a Heritage agreement in 1996. Over 120 bird species recorded, new birds sited each year. The campground is privately owned and managed, self registration on arrival, designated campsites, toilets, hot showers, using a light-it yourself donkey.

Interpreted railway history buildings, listed under State Heritage Register in 1998. The "Engine Drivers Cabin" is part of a self guided walk.

Camel Safaris and overnight Camel Wagon trips are available and suitable for all ages. They explore the surrounding area and are an introduction to the camels.

Coward Springs offers sheltered, safe, low-key camping in South Australia's arid zone, designated by travellers as an oasis campground, trees are a landmark on the Oodnadatta Track.
