Oodnadatta Oodnadatta gets its name from the Antikirinja Aboriginal word "utnadatta" meaning "blossom of the smelly mulga, gidgee". Amongst its points of interest are the historic railway museum, the local hotel and nearby waterholes on Neales River at the edge of the Oodnadatta common.
