Miriam High Special Needs Centre Outreach Program

The Miriam High Special Needs Centre Outreach Program is an Early Intervention support service, for families who have a child with a disability and/or developmental delay aged 0-6. The program is a partnership between the Miriam High Special Needs Centre and the Northern and Far Western Regional Health Service. Referral can be made by anyone who recognises a need. However, enrolment with the Program can only be made by parents or guardians of a child. Special needs outreach program provides:

  • information on where to obtain appropriate advice and help
  • contacts with relevant agencies
  • Home visits as requested
  • Assistance with Early Intervention Programs
  • Help to implement programs designed for individual children by specialist agencies
  • Access to services that may be currently not available in their region
