We have a range of visitors guides on South Australia, Flinders Ranges and Alice Springs/Uluru.

We have information flyers for all our local attractions, tours, places to eat, accommodation both underground and above, caravan parks and camp grounds. Come and see our Local Business Gallery which showcases our local tourism businesses with their colourful posters and flyers.  We produce information sheets ourselves to answer inquiries from our visitors including the Anne Beadell Highway, Uluru, Lake Eyre and general local services. Our "Gems of Coober Pedy" guide features information on opal mining, dugouts and the history of our town.

Look for us in our easy to find location in the District Council Office on Hutchison Street with convenient parking for caravans and motor homes.

For your convenience we also offer a daytime park and walk area next to the Centre for longer vans. This is a day parking spot only and is not an overnight camping area.

We have 4 fabulous caravan parks in town for your overnight camping needs.

Coober Pedy welcomes people with disabilities, providing a designated accessible car parking space that is clearly marked with the international access symbol (wheelchair symbol) and located close to the entrance.

Double width opening doors provide easy access to the Coober Pedy Information Centre and our wide aisles between brochures allow easy access for people with limited mobility.

For your convenience we have clean public toilets and a disabled rest room.

We offer free internet access for half an hour on two computers to catch up on emails with family and friends and internet surfing.

Pre-bookings are essential to avoid disappointment. Just see the Tourism Officer for the booking sheet.

Relax and enjoy our free documentary called Opal Fever which runs continuously throughout the day.

Souvenirs and postcards are available for sale at all our local Opal Shops and Attractions.

We are happy to mail out our information pack which includes regional brochures, The Coober Pedy Business Retail & Tourism Association's Booklet, town map, as well as information on attractions, tours and accommodation in the town and area.

The information pack can also be downloaded via the files below.
