Dear Electricity Customers,
Please read the full letter about the electricity tariff changes effective 1 November 2025. A copy of the letter has also been mailed to all electricity account holders.
Due to system limitations, and to ensure the correct application of the new tariff from 1 November 2025, two separate notices will be issued for the December 2025 meter reading period:
- 1. An interim meter reading notice will be issued in November 2025 for electricity usage from 1 September 2025 to 31 October 2025, charged at the current tariff. Although this notice will show a December 2025 due date, it will not be payable until January 2026. No overdue notices or debt recovery activity will apply to this interim notice.
- 2. A second notice will be issued in December 2025 for usage from 1 November 2025 to 1 December 2025, charged at the new tariff. The interim billing charges will appear as a balance brought forward.
Both notices will be due in January 2026, which is the normal due date for the December quarter meter reading
