Animal Management
The District Council of Coober Pedy assists with lost and found animals. Council impounds any stray and wandering animals as well as surrendered pets.
Council owns the Pound, which is located at the end of Hutchison Street. Council is responsible for the Pound’s maintenance along with the care of any impounded dogs or cats.
No schedule for veterinary services is set at the moment.
Registration of dogs and cats is now via Dogs and Cats Online (DACO) website https://www.dogsandcatsonline.com.au.
