Dear Electricity Customers,
Please refer to the full letter about the electricity tariff changes effective 1 November 2026. A copy of the letter has also been mailed to all electricity account holders.
Due to system limitations, and to ensure the correct application of the new tariff from 1 November 2026, two separate notices will be issued for the December 2026 meter reading period:
- An interim meter reading notice will be issued in November 2026 for electricity usage from 1 September 2026 to 31 October 2026, charged at the current tariff. Although this notice will show a December 2026 due date, it will not be payable until January 2027. No overdue notices or debt recovery activity will apply to this interim notice.
- A second notice will be issued in December 2026 for usage from 1 November 2026 to 1 December 2026, charged at the new tariff. The interim billing charges will appear as a balance brought forward.
Both notices will be due in January 2027, which is the normal due date for the December quarter meter reading.
Thank you.
