TTo our valued customers,
NOTICE OF POWER INTERRUPTION
DAY: Thursday
DATE: 23 October 2025 – 24 October 2025
TIME: 11:45pm – 2:00AM (approx)
AREAS AFFECTED: Township Feeder
PURPOSE: EMERGENCY WORKS
We apologise for the inconvenience but the interruption is necessary to protect the electrical network from a future power interruption caused by transformer failure.
As the interruption is only for a short while, perishable food should remain in the refrigerator or freezer with the lid or door closed. Open the lid or door only if absolutely necessary. Council requests that customers switch off appliances not normally in continuous use as this helps in the reinstatement of supply and is a safety precaution to prevent equipment turning on without warning.
If you intend to do any work on your electrical installation during the interruption, remember that power could return at any stage during the times listed above, so please notify your electrical contractor. For safety reasons, please notify us if you intend using a portable generator to prevent back feeding into the electrical network. Such use poses a potentially dangerous situation, both to you and our power line workers.
Thank you,
DCCP Electricity Supply
