Coober Pedy Water Transfer to SA Water by the end of year
Dear all,
Please find the attached Media Release from the State Government of South Australia through the Hon J Szakacs MP, Minister for Local Government, and the Hon N Champion MP, Minister for Housing Infrastructure, regarding Coober Pedy water transfer to SA Water.
Council Welcomes the offer from the State Government for SA Water to assume responsibility for Coober Pedy's water supply. SA Water can make much needed investment in water infrastructure in a way the Council would find literally impossible.
This is great news for residents and will herald a new era in reliability and affordability. Council will work with SA Water to achieve a swift and smooth transition.
