Regarding District Council of Coober Pedy Water Request for Tender (RFT)
On 31 March 2023, Council released an open-market RFT to explore the possibility of divesting its water business under the right terms and conditions.
Responses were received by the due date, 30 June 2023, and were evaluated over the next few months.
The result of the evaluation was that none of the tenders was able to satisfy a reasonable disposal proposal for Council in accordance with the Tender documents.
Council currently is considering its options for the water business and will keep staff and the public updated appropriately.
