| Description | This year Coober Pedy will celebrate Australia Day at the Swimming Pool! Come along for: Free Entry & Free Lunch 12:00pm - 4:00pm Council will be reintroducing community awards. These awards will recognise the significant contribution individuals and organisations make to the Coober Pedy community. The categories will include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, and Community Event of the Year. Please consider nominating someone for these awards. Nominations open from Tuesday 26th November 2019 until Friday 17th January 2020 Award CategoriesCitizen of the Year AwardTo be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen. Young Citizen of the Year AwardTo be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen aged over 16 years and under 30 years of age on January 26, 2020. Community Event of the Year AwardThis is presented to the person/group who has staged the most outstanding community event during the past year. |
